Creativity & Genre

                  Creativity is very important when doing a project, you want your work to stand out and be different than other’s. With many choices to make about typography, genre, masthead, and following a rubric, creativity is everything when making these choices.               In the Ted Talk, the speaker mentions that every idea and creation comes with the ‘what if’ or ‘imagine if’. When being creative we often ask ourselves and think about whether or not it would work as well as think of alternatives. When being creative we must be innovative and brave, we can’t be afraid to try new things even if we are uncertain. Decision Day

InDesign and Premier Pro are both very intricate apps that take a lot of practice to get the hang of. Premier Pro seems very intricate and harder to me because you are working with a film rather than pictures and you have to cut and edit a video which is not my field of expertise or liking. I would rather work with InDesign for my project because it’s easier to navigate around the app and easier to work with still pictures.             From the article, Our Place in the Universe: The Importance of Story Telling in the Classroom, the author talks about using critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. To Team or Not to Team

     When working in a team you must all communicate and have mutual interests and expectations of a project to get to the end result. When working independently you are on your own, you don’t have to worry about disagreements and working towards a solution with other people. Depending on who you are, as to what you like and your personality, you know if you would work better by yourself or with a group of people.      When looking at peer’s social media accounts you can only predict what they like, and predict their personality based on their Instagram highlights and posts because what you see on social media isn’t everything. There are misconceptions about social media and there is always something you don’t know about a person, but you can get a good idea based on the types of things they post.
