     In addition, once all the images were set, I opened up a word document and started to write my 2 feature articles. In the interview questions I asked about their experience of the island overall as well as the Sulphur Springs. I wrote one article on the island of St. Lucia  and its attractions,  this article will go on the first page of the two page feature article spread. I then wrote another article for the Sulphur Springs which will go on the second page of the 2 page feature article spread. In the article for St. Lucia, I included the history of the island, population, economy, attractions etc. I had a slightly different approach for the Sulphur Springs article, I talked about what you see when you get there, what the transportation to the Springs is like, the feeling of being there, what to expect, and more.      This week I started off by adding in the pictures I wanted to use for my feature article as well as headings. For my storyboard template I had St. Lucia and the Sulphur springs on the same page and then other tourist attractions on the page next to it for the double page spread. It seemed weird to have the St. Lucia heading and then give info about Sulphur springs under it instead of the Island. So, I decided to put the other tourist attractions on the first page with the St. Lucia heading and then do the whole second page on the Sulphur Springs tourist attraction. This way its more organized, I would talk about the island and its attractions and the second page will be all about the most popular tourist spot, Sulphur Springs. Once I figured out all of the organizing, I inserted and arranged the images for both pages before starting to write my feature articles.

In addition, this week I did my content page. I inserted all the images for my content page and arranged them according to my storyboard template. I had pictures of the Sulphur Springs to tie in with my feature article, a starfish found while snorkeling, and a churro I had in Cuba. After I inserted the pictures I realized that the way I had planned to arrange the images from my storyboard template would not work. I then referred to some other travel magazines and their content page and then changed my page accordingly. I arranged my photos to be larger to really focus on the beauty of the images and laid them out in a backwards 'C' shape with the content page title in the opening. I then wrote titles for different pages referring to the images and gave a page number for where you can find more information for the different attractions.      This week I got an email with answered interview questions. I saved the document to my computer so I could have them ready for when I write my feature article next week. I then decided to start with my title page, so I do not get overwhelmed by trying to do a little bit of everything at once. So, I started my project at the beginning and worked my way through. I opened InDesign and watched a few different tutorials on how to insert photos onto a document, as well as text for my heading and subheadings. I followed along as I watched the video and inserted my main image, masthead, selling line and three subheadings while referring to my storyboard template and preliminary layout for design and typography. I then viewed the page through the perspective of my reader and made sure it would draw their attention. I used the Lucida handwriting and Calibri light fonts for typography which I decided early on when I was doing my preliminary layout.
