In addition, this week I went through photos that I have taken in the past and chose some for my magazine. My magazine is on Islands in the Caribbean and luckily for me I have been to St. Lucia 4 times and I have also been to Cuba. I browsed through my photo album and as I was browsing, I made a folder for all the photos I wanted to use in my magazine so I would not lose track of them. I then emailed all of the photos for my magazine to myself, this way I would have them on my computer. Once the photos were on my computer, I determined which one(s) I wanted to use for the title page, content page, and which ones I wanted to use for the feature article.

This week I got started on working on my Magazine final. I determined who I was going to interview for my feature article and scheduled that interview. I then wrote down questions for the interview such as, what was your favorite part of St. Lucia and how was your overall experience? However, I did not send the questions right away in case I wanted to add a question or change the wording of one. In the end I did change the wording of one of the questions and added like a second part to one of the questions so that they can elaborate.

While creating my storyboard I had to create pictures in my mind of what I wanted the pages to look like before I formatted it and put things into the storyboard template. I envisioned exactly what I wanted my magazine to look like and made the template based off of my visual thinking which made it a little bit challenging. Besides having to envision the magazine in my head to format it like I wanted, I enjoyed getting to see my magazine coming together right in front of my eyes. Nothing has changed from my preliminary layout or concept chart. My ideas of my cover page changed a bit, I originally didn’t plan on doing more than one color, but I think the green looks really nice. Other than that, my concept and feature article is all the same, an island magazine with a feature article on St. Lucia.
